IEW 2 Lesson 7-Keep Greek and Roman Myths Alive!

We need to keep Greek and Roman myths alive! People are beginning to not notice references in the myths and not recognize characters anymore. Myths actually represent situations. Here is an example. In the story of The Trojan Horse, there was a wooden horse that was secretly full of Greek Soldiers. The Trojans thought it was a gift from the Greeks but it was not. From Shakespeare to Mary Shelley a lot of authors have made allusions to these myths. Our understanding and enjoyment of literature would be richer if myths were more developed. That is why we need to keep myths ALIVE!
