Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote numerous pieces of literature. He is most remembered for his 56 short stories and four mystery novels about Sherlock Holmes and his friend, Dr. Watson. Doyle wanted his fans to notice and read his other writings and decided to end Sherlock Holmes. Because he killed Sherlock Holmes in “The Adventure of the Final Problem,” which was published in 1893, his fans were distraught. A publisher successfully convinced Doyle to bring back Sherlock Holmes. “The Adventure of the Empty House” narrates how Sherlock faked his death to fool the evil Moriarty. It was a huge success! Doyle died in 1930, and he was most remembered for his Sherlock Holmes stories.
