IEW – Aslan’s Country – Lesson 8 – A Lamp-Post is Planted

In the field was a lion singing gracefully. The children and Jadis stood at a nearby distance to listen and watch. The children, who had never heard a lion sing, were amused, but Jadis got more annoyed with each note the lion sang.

Finally, Jadis couldn’t control her anger. She gripped the iron bar that she had angrily ripped from the children’s world and flung it at the lion, which was still singing.

The iron bar hit the lion but it ricochets and stuck onto the ground. What happened next made Jadis horrified! The iron bar that she threw had quickly grown into a lamp-post! Because Jadis was so scared of the lion, she hastily fled back into the woods.
