The Lion and the Shepherd

There once was a compassionate and helpful shepherd. Later, a Lion with severe pain came to the shepherd. It was in a forest pasture, Rome, in the time of evil Nero. Then the shepherd examined the paw closely which found out that there was a thorn! He instantly removed it.

The shepherd was accused falsely because of crime that he did not do, so he was sentenced to death. The King mistreated and starved the lion so that it will eat the shepherd. The shepherd prayed to have a miracle in the desperate pit. The lion opens his mouth, roars and starts a drooling charge against the shepherd. But the lion stopped and recognized the shepherd.

Instead the lion put his head on the shepherd’s lap. The shepherd was surprised, relived, and grateful about what just happened. The emperor was amazed and set them free.
