IEW 2 Lesson 21-Gloomy Thoughts, Gloomy Mind

We know gnomes as the friendly-looking ceramic garden watchers. But real gnomes prefer helping unseen. Some also are ignominious. One gnome, whose name is Rubezahl, is the lord of the underworld. C. S. Lewis took his gnomes in The Silver Chair from Germanic Legends. In the book, there were different sizes of gnomes. Small gnomes didn’t carry anything while the big gnomes carried tridents because they were the Lady of the Green Kirtle’s guards. The Gnomes of Bism were sad because the Lady of the Green Kirtle injects dark and gloomy thoughts into their minds.
