5/5/18 Journal Entry – Grandma in the Hospital

It all started the night before when mommy saw that Ama (grandma) had a red swelling eye. Mommy got scared, so when we were going to sleep, she searched Ama’s doctor, Dr. Say, on her iPad. The next day, mommy texted daddy, who was in the province and told him to schedule Ama to the doctor in Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC). After a while, daddy said that we could drive to CSMC already.

When we got there, we were number 23! We were there before 9 am so I was surprised that he was able to so many patients already. Since Dr. Say was out to do an operation, we had to wait so long until he came back. While waiting, I ordered chicken empanada at Muffins by Doris.

After a long wait, we finally entered the room. We were not inside even for 1 minute, and we were going out again!!! Dr. Say called another doctor, and the doctor said that we should admit Ama in the hospital, and we did. I bought lunch in Country Style Chicken, and 20 minutes later, I ate it inside the hospital room of Ama.

I texted daddy that we checked in Edsa Shangri-La Hotel, not the hospital. Hee-hee. Because mommy cannot stay in the hospital with Nisha, I was the one who remained with Ama in the hospital. I watched TV for a while and lay down to sleep. At first, I couldn’t sleep because the people outside were so noisy. After a while, I got used to it and drifted off to sleep.

The End
