Hudson Taylor will go to China. But he does not have any money. He was lonely and missed his parents and family. Then one day, somebody gave him some money to travel to China.
Hudson was going to attend a medical course in London. He was going to walk 8 miles a day. But that was good because he needed exercise. He was going to trust God for money.
Hudson was going to China. He was riding a ship named Dumfries. It was a wild, rainy night. The ship almost crashed into rocks, but they got past. Then, he finally got to China.
There was no wind in the sea. Hudson prayed that God will send wind. Then, there was wind! Then, they arrived at the coast of Gutzztaff. At night he dashed to his bunk bed which was on the small ship.
After they ate their breakfast they set out for Shanghai. They were very happy but also nervous. They should pass the army fleet. But they did! At last, they arrived at Shanghai.
In Shanghai, Hudson lived with the Parkers. His friend rented a boat and they were going to travel around China. He walked to the temple where the Buddhist priest, wearing yellow robes, invited them to sit down. Hudson preached about God but they did not believe him so they kicked him out of the temple.
At night he slept on the steps of the temple. Then thieves came, but Hudson knew. He shooed them away. Morning came; he dashed to find a boat. But he cannot find a boat for Shanghai. In the corner, a small boat was waiting for a passenger. He asked if the boat could bring him to Shanghai. The sailor agreed. Finally, he is on a boat to Shanghai!
Hudson was lonely. He thought his friends will go to China. Then, there was a storm followed by rain. He saw a girl named Maria. He fell in love with her and soon married her.
Hudson ran to the church and preached the gospel there. When he finished, one man named Mr. Tee stood up and said he was a believer. Hudson exited out of the church and looked for a job. All of them did not like to accept him except for one, his name is Wang.
Hudson was sad. He had 12 provinces including Tibet to preach to. He was going to hire 24 people to help him preach, 2 in each province. He dashed back to London on Monday. And on Tuesday he opened an account in the bank.
Dowager Lady Radstock had men to go to China too. Hudson only had $2000 left. He and the others boarded a ship going to China. The colonel gave him some money.
Hudson had all of the provinces occupied. He prayed for God to give him some more workers. God answered his prayer. There were now 800 workers who were scattered all over China.
