After the Trojan War, Odysseus wanted to go home, but he experienced a lot of delays. On the way, he and his crew were captured by a cyclops. Odysseus blinded the cyclops and continued to travel. He traveled for more than 20 years before he got home.
He was cunning and full of ideas which most of the time was successful, like the Trojan Horse. He also outsmarted the Sirens by putting beeswax in the ears of his crew and tied himself to the mast. Because of his quick-thinking, they were able to get past the Sirens.
When he got home, he discovered a plant in the underworld that had poison. He coated the tips of arrows with the poison. Sadly, the poison that he found betrayed him. Odysseus’s wife smeared some poison on his coat for extra protection, but it killed him instead.
