IEW 2 Lesson 2-Suits of Armor

Writer's picture: Dan GochuicoDan Gochuico

Note: The word Armor is written in American English.

Armor has protected knights for hundreds of years. The plates of the armor are smooth so it can deflect swords and arrows. There are many plates attached for ease of movement. Leather straps and buckles hold it together. The knights wear chain mail too under the armor for protection. Besides battles, knights wear armor in tournaments. Because they only cost small farms, armor is considered cheap. There are many parts to the full body armor. Lower-class Soldiers don’t have the full set and wear chain mail only.
