IEW – Aslan’s Country – Lesson 2 – The Disappearance of Atlantis

Plato, who was a Greek philosopher, wrote about an island called Atlantis and the Greek mythological god called Poseidon, the god of the sea. King Atlas, the eldest of Poseidon’s ten sons, received the best part of the island while the other nine miserably split the rest. Atlantis was a round island made up of mountains, meadows, rivers, and high cliffs. Ports, cities, and palaces also dotted the island. The people of Atlantis were highly educated, wealthy, and had advanced technology. Poseidon saw that the people in Atlantis were getting greedier and greedier, so he harshly commanded the ocean to swallow the whole island of Atlantis.
