IEW – Aslan’s Country – Lesson 9 – Prickly Side Up

Writer's picture: Dan GochuicoDan Gochuico

While the lion was talking to the children, Uncle Andrew was getting more and more scared when the animals came. Because he thought the animals were hungry and were going to eat him, he ran away from all the animals. A little while later, the animals saw him and began to run after him! Uncle Andrew was becoming breathless going zig-zag. He knew there would be no escape.

Eventually, Uncle Andrew got tired and fell in a faint. The curious animals circled him. They had never seen a creature like Uncle Andrew. He was limp, lifeless, and wilted. The animals said to each other that this creature has a sour smell and had a prickly top.

The animals planted a metal fork, end down. They picked up Uncle Andrew and wondered if they should put him pointed end down. They tied him with roots onto the fork but flipped him over. Prickly side up.
