Taong 1863. Nasa ilalim ng pamumuno ng Espanyol ang Pilipinas. Si Rizal ay nagsimula ng La Liga Filipina. Ito ay isang bagong grupo na hinahangad na isama ang mga tao sa kilusang reporma. Dahil nahuli si Rizal, sinimulan ni Andres Bonifacio ang isang lihim na samahan na tinawag na KKK. Muntik na mahuli si Andres Bonifacio dahil mayroong nag sumbong. Dahil dito, nangyari ang Sigaw ng Pugad Lawin na ay tinawag ding Sigaw ng Balintawak. Ito ay naging simula ng paglalaban ng mga Pilipino sa Espanyol.
