2D — Theodorakis

3C — S. Pulaski

3D— Wexler

4C — Hoo

4D — J. J. Ford

5 — Shin Hoo’s Restaurant

Summary

Otis Amber tells a creepy story about Sam Westing dying on his carpet. Turtle Wexler bets $2 for every minute that she can stay in the creepy house. While she was inside, she stumbled upon the dead body of Sam Westing. But it was not on the carpet. It was on the bed. She rushed out, screaming. The following day, it was in the newspaper, and everyone in Sunset Towers got a letter to go to the library for the reading of the will. Everyone assembled in the library, and Judge Plum read the will. The will turned out to be rules for a game with a prize of $200,000,000. Everyone was paired and given 4 pieces of toilet paper. Each piece contained a clue. The residents couldn’t solve it, so all of them decided to join clues. They rearranged the clues and found the answer:

O BEAUTIFUL FOR SPACIOUS SKIES FOR AM WAVES OF GRAIN FOR PURPLE MOUNTIAN MAJESTIES ABOVE FRUITED PLAIN AMERICA AM N THY GOOD WITH BROTHERHOOD FROM SEA TO SHINING SEA.

The will also said:

“It is not what you have, but what you don’t have that counts.” The missing words from the song were ber, the, erica, and crow. Berthe Erica Crow(One of the people n the room)! She confessed and was brought to jail. Suddenly, Sandy McSouthers dropped to the floor. A doctor reported that he had a heart attack. After some silence, Turtle began to take charge. She questioned everybody about what they knew and pieced the puzzle together. The will said that whoever wins the game will be the one who finds the fourth. Turtle found the fourth man who Sam Westing was. The real name of Sam Westing was Julian R. Eastman. He died, and with him died Windy Windkloppel, Sam W. Westing, Barney Northrup, and Sandy McSouthers. Sam Westing was 5 people! The answer to the whole game was Sandy. And Turtle solved it. She won the $200,000,000, and Crow was released as innocent.
